Summary

African, Latin America and European societies are nowadays increasingly multicultural and an Intercultural Learning approach becomes more important every day to provide youngsters – in particular those with fewer opportunities – with relevant competences in order to be active in their communities, to be fulfilled in the labor market, satisfied as human beings.

This is why the aim of this project is to strengthen the intercultural & citizenship NFE skills and competences of youth-workers in order to generate development and improve youth employability.

Project's Activities

CIYouth articulates different activities that in a complementary way seek to impact the development of social and educational skills to youth, in order to promote greater employability using identity and cultural traits.

INTERNATIONAL RESEARCH

CIYouth will develop a research (with the youth group) on best practices related to intercultural civic participation in the local context in each partner country, also the youth workers will develop a research of the best practices related to interculturality and employability.

MOBILITY OF YOUTH WORKERS - CESI METHOD

CIYouth will develop 3 international mobilities with youth workers from Italy, France, Ghana, Peru and Uruguay. The training and application of the CESI method will prioritising education on the development of intercultural citizenship, education for young people and their employment prospects

LOCAL ACTIVITIES

Each partner will develop at least one local activity with the values of the CESI method and the knowledge gained in the international mobilities.

E-LEARNING COURSE

CIYouth will develop an elearning platform, as an educational tool that unites young people from different countries in the process of intercultural education, generating key methodologies and dynamics for intercultural and international exchange.

JOBSHADOWING

Two participants from each country will participate in a Job Shadowing program, looking to strengthen the skills and partnership at international level.

LOCAL CULTURAL EVENT

To close the project, each partner country will carry out a cultural activity to promote the themes and lessons learned throughout the project.
